Scenario training for the Integrated Northern Tampa Bay (INTB) Model will be held on September 17-18, 2018 in Clearwater, Florida at the headquarters of Tampa Bay Water. The INTB model is a calibrated application of the Integrated Hydrologic Model (IHM) simulation code. The INTB model domain covers 4,000 square miles to the north and east of Tampa Bay. Follow the links to download fact sheets for both the IHM and the INTB Model.
The two-day training will be an interactive, hands-on experience. Attendees will learn through presentations and active participation in creating, running, and interpreting model scenarios. Water managers discern best options for supply, regulation, and operational decisions by using model scenarios to explore plausible changes to climate, well pumping, surface-water diversion, irrigation, or landuse. Training will focus on scenarios involving modifications to well pumping and irrigation. Other scenario topics will be covered as time permits.
Attendees are required to:
- Register for the training event by September 5, 2018
- Register as an IHM user and assent to the End User License Agreement, click here
- Bring a laptop to the training event with IHM files installed
- Bring $10 cash per day for a box lunch or bring your own lunch
